Update!

Its been a while since my last post. I have had a lot going on lately. I have been busy with homework, and I haven’t been feeling well these past few weeks. I have had a lot of treatments lately with my chiropractic neurologist. I have been having a lot of nausea, and I been throwing up a lot lately. I have been basically been having motion sickness, so we have been working on trying to fix that.

Update!

Hello! I thought I would update what has been going on lately. My health has been up and down a lot lately. Lately I have been having a lot of nausea, vomiting, and I just haven’t felt well at all. After going to doctor he was pretty sure I had a Hiatal Hernia. Some of the muscle, and  soft tissue work has been helping me feel quite a bit better.I have been watching a lot of the Olympic events lately.  I also started college classes earlier this week so I will see where that takes me.

I have been thinking about this song recently. I used to listen to hard when I was really sick. When I get caught up in everything going on in my life, I don’t turn to God when I should. It can be easy to get caught in the chaos, and my pride and think I can handle things on my own. I will always need God. I am continuing to grow in my faith and work on  turning to God for guidance.

“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul”  Deuteronomy 4:29

USA soccer game

I got to go the USA women’s soccer last weekend! It was great to see them play before they left for Rio. It was a really good feeling that I was felt well enough to not only watch the game, but I was able to ride in a car for a couple hours in order to get there. That is something I haven’t done in a couple years. I am continuing to get stronger, it is an amazing feeling. ❤

Update!

Hi! I haven’t posted an update in a while, so I thought I would let you know how I have been doing. This summer I have been able to swim a lot, and I am using different muscles that haven’t been used in so long. The more activity I do the more muscle pain, and soreness I have, mostly a lot of neck pain, and that makes me feel fatigued quite a bit. I have ups and downs, but overall I have been doing well.

Tomorrow I am going to the US vs Costa Rica women’s soccer game, and I am now enrolled in college and I start fall semester, which is exciting!

I love the lyrics of this song. When I think back on some of worst days when I was sick I remember being so tired of just surviving. I hated the feeling of how hard it was to get through the days. Day by day I have gotten through it, and it is an amazing feeling.

One year

One year ago I began my chronic illness recovery journey. My life has changed so much. For years I have wondered when I would finally feel better. I didn’t get better over night. I am still working on feeling better.

It has been a year or growth, learning, and Changes. It has been an amazing new beginning. I have gotten through, and survived my worst days. I can now put those days behind me and move forward.

You say: “It’s impossible ” God says: All things are possible

Appreciation

Its been almost a year since I started my illness recovery journey. So much has changed, little things, and big things. I have been able to do so many things that I was unable to do when I was sick.

  • I am able to eat without having pain, or feeling nauseous.
  • I usually feel rested after I sleep.
  • I am able to take a shower without a chair.
  • I can sit in the sun without feeling miserable.
  • I can walk outside without feeling exhausted.
  • I can sit up without the immediate need to lie down.
  • I can go for a walk.
  • I can go shopping without feeling horrible.
  • This year I have been able to swim.
  • I went fishing.
  • I  been able to go for a short bike rides.
  • I went on vacation.
  • I flew on a plane.
  • I walked multiple miles in one day.
  • I have been able to make my own meals.
  • I have been able to study, and do homework.
  • I am now am to relearn how to drive.

Its feels amazing to look at this list and to know how far I have come. I know the list will keep growing as I continue to create a new life for myself.
